OEM vs. Used: What's Actually Different

"OEM" stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer, it's a part made by the company that built your car (or built the part specifically for them), as opposed to a third-party reproduction. An OEM part can be brand new or used; what makes it "OEM" is who made it, not its condition.

A used part, in our case, is an OEM part pulled from a car that's being taken apart, not a reproduction or a copy. It's already done its job in a real car, which is exactly why checking it against your VIN matters: we're confirming a real, specific part fits your real, specific car.
